Ted Kubitz — Volunteer of the Year!

Ted Kubitz, a long-time volunteer at the Foundation for Senior Care, was honored at the North County Philanthropy Council (NCPC) Volunteer Awards Celebration event on Friday, November 3, 2023. The annual Celebration, held at the California Center for Arts in Escondido, brings together volunteers, philanthropists, business leaders and nonprofit professionals to recognize exemplary individuals who have had a significant impact on a nonprofit organization.

With experience in complex computer programming and system organization, Ted focuses on the Systems and Operations aspect of the Foundation. He has spent countless hours, on both weekdays and weekends, voluntarily building a comprehensive data base and customized computer management system that ensures the smooth and efficient running of the Foundation’s key senior service programs — Transportation, Resources Advocacy, and Adult Day Center. Additionally, “TED,” as the system is affectionately called, provides valuable data that is used for both grant submissions and for evaluating and adapting the service programs as needed.

Ted continues to give his time and talents, as he and his wife D’Ann work together to regularly test and improve the system to make sure it is up-to-date and scalable in order to meet the growing needs of the Foundation as it adapts to the changes in the older adult population.

With a heart for older adults and giving to others, Ted Kubitz gladly steps up and does what it takes to get the job done. The impact his expertise, innovation and contribution has had on the ongoing success of the Foundation for Senior Care is priceless.
