Seniors May Qualify for a discount on SDG&E bill

SDG&E offers several Assistance Programs to help seniors lower their monthly energy bill while making your home comfortable.
  1. California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) Program (com/CARE): Save 30% or more every month on your bill. Eligibility is based on participation in certain public assistance programs, or household income and how many people live in your home.
  2. Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) Program (com/FERA): If you don’t qualify for CARE, you may for FERA. You could receive a 12% discount on your energy bill. FERA is only open to households with three or more people.
  3. Medical Baseline (com/medicalbaseline): This Program has helped over 30,000 people, who have a qualifying medical need or medical device, to lower their energy costs.
  4. Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program (com/ESAP): You may receive free energy-saving improvements to your apartment, condo, house or mobile home; such as lighting, furnace repair, weather-stripping, attic insulation and select appliances like a refrigerator.

  2. My mother is 94 years old with heart issues ,pacemaker monitored by medical devises and more … in these summer heat she needs cooler air in her place .. please give her the lowest rate on electric charges that she might qualify for.. thank you

    I qualify for your senior care discount SSI Medicare. Could not locate how to signup online. My printer was out of ink and I was unable to print PDF .

  4. When I lived in Rancho Cucamonga, I qualified for a reduced rate for my electric bill due to my income. I moved to San Marcos on Nov. 30th. Can you send me application for the same benefit at my present address?
