Classes and Workshops for Seniors
As a part of our commitment to serving the needs of seniors in our community, we offer both technology classes and informational workshops focused on topics and issues of particular concern to seniors.
Technology Classes
Our technology classes cover a variety of fundamental and functional areas that many seniors may not be familiar or comfortable with, such as the basic use of a smartphone, how to set up online banking, getting to know your computer’s operating system, or how to navigate the Internet to easily and quickly get results. Classes are deliberately kept small so that participants can get personal hands-on attention.
Additionally, we offer a Fix-It Friday class every week. Fix-It Friday is an open classroom environment where any senior can bring their broken, difficult, or just plain stubborn, device to an expert who will attempt to fix it or explain the problem.
Informational Workshops
ALL OF OUR CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE HELD LOCALLY AT THE FRHD COMMUNITY HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER.
THEY ARE TAUGHT BY EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO HELP SENIORS DEAL WITH MODERNTECHNOLOGY AND/OR MAINTAIN A SAFE AND INFORMED LIFESTYLE.
