iPhone/iPad Class #4 – Built-in Functionality & Additional Built-in Applications

This is part 4 of 4 different & independent iPhone and iPad classes. Students will need to sign up for each class separately. The 4 classes, in total, will cover the basic functions of the iPhone & iPad that everyone could use. Each class will be independent and does not require a precursor class.
Note: This class is NOT for Samsung, Huawei, Google, Nokia, or any Android phone.
Class # 4 covers the built-in functionality in the iPhone & iPad with emphasis on iCloud. The iCloud Drive, the Files App, iCloud Keychain (stores, generates & disseminates passwords,) and iCloud Photo storage will be covered.
In addition, the functions of the Control Center, Notifications, and AirDrop are discussed as well as the new Find My App, which can locate friends as well as your Apple devices. Of special importance will be the discussion of how to protect your iPhone or iPad in case of loss or theft.
The new Emergency S.O.S. app is covered.
The remainder of Class #4 is to discuss 14 additional applications based on class interest: Wallet, an app that stores boarding passes, tickets, reward cards, as well as Apple Pay with Credit cards is demonstrated. Additional apps discussed include HealthKit, News, playing music & videos, iBooks, Notes, Reminders, Voice Memos, Tips, Home kit, Compass, Measure, and the new Shortcuts app.
Prerequisite: Desire to learn how to use your iPhone and/or iPad.
What to Have at the Zoom Session: The device that you will be using. You must bring your APPLE ID AND APPLE PASSWORD
