iPhone/iPad Class #2 – The Built-in Applications

This is part 2 of 4 different & independent iPhone and iPad classes. Students will need to sign up for each class separately. The 4 classes, in total, will cover the basic functions of the iPhone & iPad that everyone could use. Each class will be independent and does not require a precursor class.
Note: This class is NOT for Samsung, Huawei, Google, Nokia, or any Android phone.
Class #2 covers the Built-in applications for iPhone & iPad” Safari, Maps, Calendar, managing applications, the App store, and Widgets.
How to navigate Safari, the built-in web browser, is covered including how to view & share website links, share passwords, bookmarks and reading lists between devices, and generate and save hard-to-break passwords via Keychain & iCloud.
Utilizing the Map application for turn-by-turn spoken directions, searching for places nearby, making reservations with Uber, and indoor maps for malls and airports is included.
Setting up, utilizing, and sharing Calendars is covered.
Managing applications, such as moving, grouping, closing and deleting them, as well as finding them in the App store is also included.
Class #2 concludes with a discussion of the new Widgets capability – proving a pop-up window or dialog box to serve as reminders, countdown timer, and notification tools that the user can trigger from the home screen without having to open the application first.
Prerequisite: Desire to learn how to use your iPhone and/or iPad.
What to Have at the Zoom Session: The device that you will be using. You must bring your APPLE ID AND APPLE PASSWORD
