iPhone/iPad Class #1 – Introduction to the iPhone & iPad

Class#1 provides an introduction to the iPhone & iPad, covering the basic functions of the iPhone & iPad and how to communicate with friends and family. It will cover the physical device with its controls, buttons and screen displays as well as the touch system used to tap, pinch, stretch, slide and touch & hold. The basic general settings will be explained, including wi-fi, Bluetooth, software update, Siri, storage and auto-lock. In addition, the specific settings for passwords and accounts, Touch or Face ID, and Privacy, including location services, will be covered in detail. The keyboard and its functions for auto-correction, spelling, dictation, and Cut & Paste will be explained.
Class #1 includes the Phone application – making a call, managing an incoming call, voice mail and avoiding unwanted calls. The importance and use of the Contacts application (Address book) – adding and editing contacts will be covered. Communicating via email is covered: setting up Accounts, writing, replying to and forwarding mail, as well as how to view, add, and save attachments. Communicating by Facetime and Messaging applications completes the topics for Class #1.
Note: This class is NOT for Samsung, Huawei, Google, Nokia, or any Android phone.
Prerequisite: Desire to learn how to use your iPhone and/or iPad.
What to Have at the Zoom Session: The device that you will be using. You must bring your APPLE ID AND APPLE PASSWORD
