Join the conversation with the Foundation for Senior Care and Dr. Diane Beach Darby, Gerontologist

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

• Plan for the holidays in a low-stress manor
• Learn how to adjust holiday “expectations”
• Make contingency plans for holiday gatherings

Dr. Diane Darby Beach is a Gerontologist in private practice in San Diego. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Doctorate in Education and has 28 years of experience in the area of Health Promotion and Eldercare. During that time, she has trained thousands of staff caregivers who care for residents and other persons with dementia. She counsels family members and provides support groups for those coping with this disease and is interviewed frequently by local TV stations as a dementia expert. She has presented her work at several national and international conferences and has been published in The Journal of Gerontological Nursing, The Hospice Journal, The Journal of Gerontological Social Work, and many others. She teaches at CSU San Marcos and the San Diego Community College District.

The Foundation for Senior care is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that serves the needs of seniors and disabled adults in North County San Diego. It provides transportation services, offers adult day care at “The Club”, senior advocacy and a computer learning center. The Foundation for Senior Care depends on grants along with business and individual donors to provide these essential services to the community. It is located at 135 S. Mission Rd. in Fallbrook, CA.
